FREE: Training. Work Experience. Reference.

A reference is something most people will need from time to time over the course of their working life. And a good reference can be worth its weight in gold.

We provide two types of Job Reference.

The first (type A) is an academic / Competence reference and is based on a person having passed and received a Certificate of Pass / Competence for our Free Legal Skills Civil training course. To assess your competence you will need to have your work marked. Please note: The details of those who hold a Certificate of Pass are kept on our records indefinitely and can be accessed for the purposes of providing a written job reference at any time - guaranteed up to 5 years.

The second (type B) Job Reference we provide is for those who apply for and who are accepted for Work Placement / Work Experience with the school. This job reference is based on actual work done for the school, over a specific period of time, e.g. 3 months. And although it can be said to carry more weight its value has a much reduced 'shelf life/use by date', in comparison to the academic / competence reference, because it relates to work as at the time.
